Made In Earnest

April 1st would have been Gil Scott-Heron’s birthday and to celebrate his life and mourn his passing The Jazz Meet are doing a special birthday tribute to the great man on March 31st. I’ve collaborated with illustrator John Peter Raven for the poster.

Just had the sign-off on a poster and flyer for The Greg Foat Group album launch. It takes place at Floripa in January and is a combined Wah Wah 45s and Jazzman Records night. The album itself is very good and is out now – and available on vinyl.

The latest Nostalgia 77 album is now officially out and it has been getting some very good reviews. Also pleasing, from a personal point of view, is that the design for the artwork looks good online and in the hand. If I am being honest, I was slightly worried because I had made the album [...]

Now, along with the monthly poster for The Jazz Meet, I also do posters for the nights which have a guest artist or band. Obviously, I try to make sure that the monthly theme and colours work for the special one-off posters too. And for November, I think it all fits together quite nicely…
