The Jazz Meet meets John Peter Raven

April 1st would have been Gil Scott-Heron’s birthday and to celebrate his life and mourn his passing The Jazz Meet are doing a special birthday tribute to the great man on March 31st. I’ve collaborated with illustrator John Peter Raven for the poster.

The Jazz Meet meets Cachetejack

For The Jazz Meet posters I occasionally collaborate with illustrators and for the December poster I teamed up with Valencian-based duo Nuria Bellver and Raquel Fanjul, better known as Cachetejack. As you can see, their illustration universe is full of colour, energy and humour. They were a joy to work with and produced something which I think [...]

The Jazz Meet meets Keemo

It’s been a little while since I posted anything new, partly because I have been so busy with work, but as I have a chance here goes… This is the latest poster for The Jazz Meet and it features the brilliance of painter and illustrator Keemo. I just love his style and wish I could [...]

The Remix EP

Favourite things

I have had a little redesign to the look of the flyer for the monthly live jazz jam Favourite Things, which I am lucky enough to design for. This new look coincides with a new phase for the night as it now has a new regular home at Favela Chic. Not too sure if we [...]

The Made In Earnest calendar

It started in 2002 with our first one (entitled Life) and up until 2009 we had managed to produce a promotional calendar every year. Unfortunately that sequence stopped this year, but I am hopeful that the calendar will re-appear for 2011. I want to find a suitable topic and collaborator for it, but there is [...]

Fun for your ears

Another post, another flyer. Until I get the chance to get some photos taken of my work this seems like a good way to gradually upload examples of work from the recent past. This particular one was for the Fun Your Ear (FYE) night which took place at Mook in Leeds. Since its inception in [...]
