On the right track

The latest issue of The Victorian magazine – issue 39 – is at the printers and will be out soon. This issue is in fact the twentieth issue Made In Earnest has designed and, even if I say so myself, it is looking good.

Mo Kolours EP2

The second EP from Mo Kolours is done and in production – the above image is actually the end credit from the video that accompanies the release – but if you want to get a sneak preview of the sounds of ‘EP2: Banana Wine’ the opening track ‘Ridda Mountian’ features on the new Brownswood compilation [...]

A good start

I’ve been lucky with my clients and have, for the past few years at least, always had work to do at the start of January thanks largely to the publication schedule of Historic House magazine. However, 2012 is starting with what seems like an extra dose of incoming and ongoing work. Not sure if this [...]

Spotted by locals

I am pleased to announce that I am officially a ‘Spotter’. By that I mean, I have joined the travel website Spotted By Locals as one of their locals for London. When I started my Made In Earnest City Guides in 2008 with a guide to Helsinki I was asked by a friend how I [...]

The Manchester Modernist Society, publishers of the modernist magazine, have launched a modernist pop-up shop at 142 Chapel Street, Salford M3 6AF (close to Salford central Station and the Kings [...]

Burghley in motion

One of my regular clients, Acland Burghley School, has an annual Dance Show for which I do the invite and the poster. This year’s title is Burghley In Motion and the show takes place at the end of January at the Bloomsbury Theatre.

Wah Wah 45s update

It’s been a while since I updated the site with some of the work I do for the record label Wah Wah 45s, but as they are having the big annual bash at The Scala next week this seems like an ideal time to do it. So, here are three recent flyers (three different venues [...]

The Remix EP

Following on from the recent Paul White post, it seems right to mention the design and release of the new Remix EP. The artwork has the same basic design and look as the album, but it has been ‘remixed’. Simple, but hopefully effective.

The Golden Dragon

It is always nice to see your work out and about – not just on a computer screen or in the studio. Unfortunately, that happens less and less these days, so it was nice to see the recent advertisements I did for The Golden Dragon appear on the Guardian website. Obviously, I knew they were [...]
