Dave Storey Trio: Bosco

The latest release from Impossible Ark Records is the debut album by the Dave Storey Trio and is called Bosco. The vinyl features an incredible painting by Victor Pasmore entitled ‘The Rivers Edge’ and although not a gatefold I think it deserves to be seen it its full width glory. The image is used with permission […]

The William Morris Society Magazine

The latest issue of The William Morris Society Magazine is out and I think the cover looks superb. It features a John Ruskin watercolour (after JMW Turner) from 1855 and is a fitting finale for the outgoing editor, Susan Warlow, whose last issue this is.

Pinnacle: issue 6

Issue 6 of the CCT members’ magazine Pinnacle has gone to print. This issue is a Sunderland Special highlighting the transformation of Holy Trinity, Sunderland, into the Canny Space.

The Victorian: celebrating 60 years

The Victorian Society is celebrating its 60th year and to commemorate that fact The Victorian magazine has a special cover this issue showing the sadly lost Euston Arch. The painting, entitled ‘The Doric Arch’, is by Barbara Jones and comes from the Victoria & Albert Museum.

Sneak preview: Fifteen

Sneak preview of the artwork for the forthcoming Nostalgia 77 album ‘Fifteen’. It’s a vinyl-only release and will be out on Tru Thoughts in 2018. In days gone by I would have got this proof as a hard copy and I used to love that process. These days the proofs are mostly supplied as pdfs […]

Pinnacle: issue 4

The latest issue of Pinnacle magazine features a wonderful cover image of medieval stained glass, taken at St Mary’s, Battlefield, Shropshire.
