The William Morris Society

Pleased to say we are now designing for The William Morris Society. After a recent brand redesign undertaken by Angus Hyland of Pentagram we have taken over the ongoing design for the Society which has meant designs for the Magazine and the Journal as well as other promotional material such as the Membership leaflet, Events programme and […]

The Victorian: Endangered buildings

The latest issue of The Victorian (issue 50) is out now and features the Victorian Society’s Top Ten Endangered Buildings 2015. Below are two of the pages from the feature. You can find out more about each of the buildings on the list here.

Historic House: restoration

It’s been a long time since I posted anything about Historic House magazine, but the Autumn 2015 issue is out now and the cover features a fabulous image of the restoration of St Giles House. Usually the magazine would have an ‘after’ image on the cover, but I thought this was just too interesting and […]

The Echo

One of the ongoing projects we have is the design of The Echo newsletter for the Association of Sound Designers. It’s a landscape A5 format and despite being all about sound is pleasing full of images…

SPAB: Briefing

A while ago we were asked by the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB) to design a new supplement to go with SPAB magazine. What we came up with is SPAB Briefing. The Victorian: Tower Bridge

The latest issue of The Victorian (Issue 48) has gone to print. This is the opening spread of the article about the depiction of Tower Bridge in art to coincide with the exhibition at the Guildhall Art Gallery entitled ‘Tower Bridge: A Celebration of 120 Years, 1894–2014’.

The Horticulturist redesign

The first issue of the redesigned Horticulturist magazine has arrived back from the printers and so far the feedback from the Chartered Institute of Horticulture has been extremely positive, which makes the hard work and long hours all worthwhile.

The Victorian redesign

The Victorian magazine has a new Editor and following that change we were asked to redesign the magazine. The first issue with this new design has now been printed and published and here are a few samples spreads from it.

The Victorian

I’ve posted about my work for The Victorian magazine before but because it is an ongoing job which I have been doing for years I sometimes take it for granted and forget how much I enjoy working on it. The clients are nice and very supportive of my design work and we all invariably think […]

The Horticulturist

Recently, I have been lucky enough to become the designer of another magazine, The Horticulturist, which is the quarterly magazine of the Institute of Horticulture. The magazine is a widely acclaimed journal which includes technical and professional articles, book reviews, forthcoming events, Institute news and a round-up of horticultural science worldwide. It goes out free to all […]
