Rapping With Paul White

The new album from Paul White is all set to be released, which means the artwork is finished and I must say I am proud of it and can’t wait to see it printed. Once I get my copies I’ll get this and the other recent One-Handed releases properly photographed and up into the portfolio proper. The illustrations for this project are by Penny Davenport and they definitely have a distinct feel to them. Spooky, otherworldly and kinda creepy, they recall some of the illustrations you often see on Polish book covers.

Predating the album release is the first single, entitled Trust, which features Guilty Simpson as the guest rapper. The album itself features a cast of Paul White’s favourite MCs: including the aformentioned Guilty Simpson as well as Danny Brown, Marv Won, Homeboy Sandman, Jehst, Tranqill and Moe Pope. There’s a folk singer too, Nancy Elizabeth, reading a peculiar poem. More information on the release can be found on the One-Handed site.
